BACKGROUND:

Leo Stan Ekeh was born in Ubomiri Mbaitoli, Imo State, Nigeria, to a middle-class family with three brothers and two sisters. He attended Holy Ghost College, Owerri, for his secondary education. During his early years, he wanted to own the biggest transport company in Nigeria.

EDUCATION:

Leo Stan Ekeh is a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Punjab University in India, and an MSc in Risk Management from the University of Nottingham, UK.

Leo Stan Ekeh is a tech entrepreneur who is widely credited with revolutionizing Nigeria’s IT industry. Founder and chairman of Zinox Group, one of Africa’s largest technology companies.

Ekeh’s journey in the tech industry began in 1987 when he founded Task Systems Limited, an indigenous IT firm that provided IT solutions to Nigerian businesses.

However, it was in 2001 that Ekeh made his mark on the industry when he founded Zinox Technologies Limited, a computer manufacturing company that quickly became the leading brand in Nigeria.

Zinox Technologies’ success was built on Ekeh’s innovative business strategies, including a focus on high-quality, locally-manufactured computers at affordable prices. Under his leadership, Zinox Group has grown to become a conglomerate that includes several subsidiaries, including Technology Distribution, TD Plus, Zinox Technologies, and Buyright AFRICA Dotcom.

Ekeh’s vision has been instrumental in driving the growth of Nigeria’s IT industry. Through Zinox Group, he has been at the forefront of driving digital innovation in Nigeria, launching several initiatives aimed at increasing internet penetration, bridging the digital divide, and promoting digital literacy.
